Okay, I have a problem. I’m reading a ridiculous number of blogs nowadays. Everyone else seems to be using aggregators, so I’ve been playing around with a few different ones. All in all, I’ve been underwhelmed. I guess I was hoping for something more, considering the level of enthusiasm I’ve been seeing.
So I’m asking for help. Does anyone out there use aggregators, and if so, which one(s) do you use? Do you just use them to see when a blog has been updated or do you read the whole post from the aggregator? Any tips to help me have a better experience? Am I missing something great about these things?

Bloglines (www.bloglines.com) is pretty good. Feeddemon is great, it costs 30 bucks though, there’s also RSSOwl - I forget the websites of those but you can google them. Then of course MyYahoo allows you to access RSS now too. Personally I use Bloglines, it seems to fulfill most of my needs, and it’s free. Also it can be set to show you when the blog has been updated. As far as I know, somebody correct me if I’m wrong here, you can only read the entire feeds of people who have enabled the entire feed to be read in an aggregator, others just enable the title of the post or a small part of the post and in that case you’ll have to click on the link and go to the relevant webpage.

I use bloglines too. It’s free, has a good interface, and is an easy way to keep up with dozens of blogs.
I have a list of favorite blogs on my blog. For those, I just use the aggregator to check for updates, but I often visit from my blog so I can leave a trace on the referrer logs.
There are other blogs I like to check once in a while, but don’t keep up with on a regular basis. (Or ones with objectionable content — I don’t want pictures of scantily clad women showing up on my computer at work.) I read those with Bloglines.

yah. bloglines. sometimes bloglines goes a little haywire, and i resort to using something like NewsFire (a desktop app for the mac, it’s free), but bloglines is great because it’s webbased and i can keep track at home and at work.
i guess if i had only one computer, it wouldn’t matter if i used bloglines or something else. but bloglines can be helpful when you’re away from your computer and are at, say the library, and want to see what’s up. just log in and go!
